Davao City- The TA Clemente will parade a first-time team lineup on Friday with ACGR mix gunners of the TCBL Aspirants 1 Finals. It all depends on if they can complete two difficult tasks in one night: Win the first crown or go home with nothing.
Both are doable unless the ACGR get a firm grip on the basketball — turnovers have destroyed them late on the elims — and something more from the meat of their rotation, starting with mythical five awardee, Ray Mamacus.
History says TA Clemente is a tough out. So, coach Jigger Saniel is walking the tightrope, with the wind swirling, without a safety net, and without a tomorrow. Such is life when you’ve got a 6-1 in the elims and a sweep into semis.
“This will be historic since this will be the first-ever TCBL Championship and the finalists are both competitive and wants to win. Expect a highly physical game and I’m sure that the fans will surely love the matchup. May the best team win! said commissioner Fermyl Escandor.
The experience gives them hope, if nothing else, come tipoff. They’re 6-1 in elimination games, almost a sweep winning in the bracket. The customs brokerage mythical five-member Ronald Bangoy and MJ Revilla are ready to continue the winning streak since the quarterfinals.
“Honestly we are playing dead. we’re not supposed to be here but right after the semis we just knew we deserve to be here. Whatever happens tomorrow, we don’t care—we will just be at our best.
Preparations? nothing. we are just making it simple, nothing special,”

It must have been a complete sweep entering the finals when Kakay Hardware snapped them on the finger.
Now he’s in the Finals and dashing around the court under Coach of the Year, Prince Macavinta. The team with only giving up one game through the season will face the same destiny team for the first time.
